Lakeside Wedding: Carlos and Clare

Date - July 18, 2016 / Author - Bloggers / Category - Real Wedding

Carlos and Clare’s love story is sweeter than any romance movie we’ve ever seen! The couple first met in their high school Spanish class, and what started out as a crush, gradually blossomed into true love. Their blue and yellow lakeside wedding was so spectacular, it was featured in the June edition of Orlando Magazine! Be sure to check out all of the amazing details.

After being together for nine years, Clare knew that she wanted her wedding to be a perfect fit for her and Carlos’s personalities. The team of Blush by Brandee Gaar went above and beyond to make sure they got exactly what they wanted.

Guests were welcomed to the wedding with beautiful, custom chalkboard signage by Chalk Shop, with Cricket’s Photography there every step of the way to capture every intimate detail of the fabulous day. The tent that had been set up for the outdoor event was decorated with the utmost care, with fresh greenery and blooms from Lee James Floral Designs, lanterns and fairy lights, and gorgeous cerulean-toned china.

Clare was all smiles as she walked down the aisle with miniature portraits of her grandparents tied to her bouquet. Carlos beamed as he stood tall in his dark blue tuxedo. Anyone could see that this couple was madly in love!

After the ceremony and a beautiful, intimate first dance, the celebration was in full-swing! The couple and their guests did the “second line” dance, a New Orleans tradition, as a tribute to Clare’s family. Not to leave Carlos’s Colombian heritage behind, guests received little bags of Colombian coffee as favors. Coffee that pairs perfectly with wedding cake, as it turns out!

Speaking of wedding cake, this one was truly magnificent! Our cake artists created six tiers of buttercream perfection, adorned with hundreds of delicate sugar flowers, and finished with a monogram of the newlyweds’ initials.

Congratulations, Clare and Carlos! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
